Local Cadet Receives SAR Award from Henry Laurens Chapter April 29, 2008 Cadet Ryan Wisz of the South Aiken High School JROTC program was awarded the SAR Bronze ROTC Medal and Certificate by the Henry Laurens Chapter of the SC Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. The medal endeavors to foster the principle of the "citizen-soldier" as exemplified by the Minutemen of the American Revolution. Recipients are selected for a high degree of merit with respect to leadership qualities, military bearing and general excellence. The medal and certificate were presented to Cadet Wisz by Henry Laurens Chapter President, Robert Johnson, at the April 29th SAHS Awards Dinner for the JROTC program.
